Terms of Sale

These terms of sale (the « Terms ») apply to any subscription to the HippieTV service published by JOLABS40 through the site hippietv.app. Placing an order implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

1. Purpose

HippieTV is a multi-screen client software (Windows, Android TV, mobile to come) for playing IPTV streams in Xtream Codes or M3U format provided by a third party (the « IPTV provider »). HippieTV does not supply, host or broadcast any video stream: its role is strictly that of a media player.

2. Service offered

Three subscription plans:

  • Free: basic player, one device at a time, 3-day EPG.
  • Pro: €7 incl. VAT / year, up to 3 simultaneous devices (PC, TV, mobile), enriched features (detailed 7-day EPG, cross-device sync, Picture-in-Picture, Chromecast Cast, encrypted cloud backup).
  • Family: €11 incl. VAT / year, up to 6 simultaneous devices, separate profiles (coming) and Home Assistant integration.

A 14-day trial period with no commitment and no credit card is offered for the Pro / Family plan, limited to one trial per account and per machine.

Acquisition channels: subscription is taken exclusively on hippietv.app/upgrade. Android applications (Mobile and TV) are distributed free of charge on Google Play with no in-app purchase; Pro / Family feature activation happens after web subscription via HippieTV account sign-in.

3. Acceptance and account creation

Subscription requires creating a personal account via a valid email address. The user undertakes to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials.

4. Price and payment

Prices are displayed in euros, all taxes included. Applicable VAT is that of the buyer's country (place-of-consumption rule for B2C electronic services).

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy LLC (« Lemon Squeezy »), acting as Merchant of Record (legal seller). Lemon Squeezy collects the payment, issues the invoice and remits VAT to competent administrations. JOLABS40 acts as the supplier of the service sold by Lemon Squeezy.

Payment is due at subscription and automatically renewed at each annual term. The user is notified by email before each renewal.

5. Withdrawal right and refund

Pursuant to articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the user has a 14-day period from subscription to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to justify the decision.

The request must be addressed to [email protected] or via the Lemon Squeezy portal. Refund is processed in full within 14 days using the same payment method as for the subscription.

6. Term and termination

The subscription is concluded for a one-year term, automatically renewed by tacit reconduction. The user may cancel at any time from Account → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no pro-rata refund is issued except in case of application of the withdrawal right (article 5).

JOLABS40 reserves the right to terminate the subscription as of right in case of manifest breach of these Terms, of the EULA, or of any use of the service for unlawful purposes, after email notification.

7. Liability

HippieTV is a media player. JOLABS40's liability is strictly limited to the functioning of the software. JOLABS40 cannot be held liable for:

  • the content of streams broadcast by third-party IPTV providers;
  • the lawfulness of the IPTV subscription contracted by the user;
  • service interruptions related to the IPTV provider or the user's internet connection;
  • indirect damages, data loss, loss of opportunity or loss of profit.

In any event, JOLABS40's total liability towards a user is capped at the amount effectively paid by that user for their subscription over the last 12 months.

8. Service availability

JOLABS40 employs reasonable means to ensure 99% monthly average availability, excluding scheduled maintenance and excluding external causes (host, third-party providers, force majeure). No contractual availability guarantee is granted.

9. Intellectual property

The HippieTV software, its source code, its interface, its trademark and its visual identity remain the exclusive property of JOLABS40. Subscription grants a personal non-transferable right of use, under conditions defined by the EULA.

10. Personal data

Processing of personal data is the subject of a dedicated privacy policy, compliant with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

11. Modification of Terms

These Terms may be modified at any time. Any substantial modification is notified to the user by email at least 30 days before its entry into force. Failing acceptance, the user may cancel at no cost.

12. Mediation, applicable law and jurisdiction

In case of dispute, the user may refer the matter for free to the competent consumer mediator (FEVAD e-commerce mediator). Contact details available on request to [email protected].

These Terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable agreement, any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts.
