Refund policy
This policy details the refund conditions for HippieTV subscriptions. It complements the Terms of Sale and the privacy policy.
General rule
You have 14 days to get a refund, with no questions asked, for the full amount.
This policy is more generous than the French legal minimum (which doesn't require refund if the service was used with your explicit consent). We apply it by default to all subscriptions.
Covered cases
- First purchase of a Pro or Family subscription.
- Automatic renewal of an existing subscription (with a 14-day window from charge date).
- In-period upgrade (Pro → Family).
Cases not covered (your rights still apply)
- 14-day trial period: no charge took place, so no refund needed. If you don't subscribe after the trial, you automatically revert to the Free plan.
- Subscription cancelled before end of term: you keep Pro / Family access until the end of the paid period; no pro-rata refunded (but no future charges either).
- Beyond 14 days: no standard refund. Exception cases (prolonged service outage, billing error) handled case by case — write to us.
How to request a refund
Method A — Lemon Squeezy portal (recommended)
Go to Account → Billing → Manage subscription. You land on the Lemon Squeezy portal (the legal seller). Follow the « Cancel / Request refund » button. Processing is fully automated.
Method B — Support email
Write to [email protected] with:
- The HippieTV account email concerned.
- The purchase date (visible on your Lemon Squeezy invoice received by email).
- Optional: the reason (useful for us to improve, not required).
We process the request within 48 business hours.
Refund delay
Once the request is validated, the refund is initiated immediately on the Lemon Squeezy side. The credit appears on your original payment method (credit card, PayPal, direct debit) within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
The refund uses the same payment method as the one used for subscription. No cash refund or transfer to another account can be made (Lemon Squeezy anti-fraud policy).
Simple cancellation (without refund)
If you just want to cancel without requesting a refund (e.g. beyond 14 days, or without using the withdrawal right):
- Go to Account → Billing.
- Click « Cancel subscription ».
- Pro / Family access is kept until the end of the paid period.
- No new charges.
Mediation and disputes
In case of disagreement, you may refer the matter free of charge to the competent consumer mediator (FEVAD mediator for e-commerce). Contact details available on request at [email protected]. Mediation is free and mandatory before any judicial action.
