Cookie policy

This page exhaustively lists the cookies (and equivalent technologies: local storage, session storage) used on the site hippietv.app and the API api.hippietv.app.

Our approach

HippieTV does not set any advertising tracking cookie nor third-party analytics cookie. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no retargeting cookies. Only strictly necessary cookies for the service to function are set.

Practical consequence: no cookie banner to click. You have nothing to accept or refuse on arrival, because we don't set anything that legally requires it.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the service to function. Without them, authentication does not work and you cannot access your account.

hippietv_session

• Domain: api.hippietv.app
• Duration: 15 minutes (automatically renewed on each action)
• Attributes: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax
• Purpose: carries your signed authentication JWT. Without this cookie, the pages /account/* are not accessible.

hippietv_refresh

• Domain: api.hippietv.app, path /api/auth/refresh only
• Duration: 7 days
• Attributes: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax
• Purpose: renews the session without re-entering password / magic link as long as you stay active.

Local storage (non-cookies)

We also use localStorage entries on the browser side — these are not cookies (not automatically transmitted with HTTP requests) but we list them for transparency:

• hippietv_lang — language preference chosen via the selector. No tracking purpose, just avoiding asking again on each visit.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a traffic analysis service without cookies and without browser fingerprinting. It measures aggregated page views and network performance. No personal data is collected. That's why no consent is required.

Third-party cookies

Lemon Squeezy (during payment)

If you start a payment, you are redirected to the Lemon Squeezy hosted checkout on their own domain lemonsqueezy.com. Lemon Squeezy sets its own cookies there for the operation of the payment process and fraud prevention. Details on Lemon Squeezy's cookie policy. HippieTV does not control these cookies, which are never set on hippietv.app.

Google (in case of Google OAuth)

If you sign in via « Continue with Google », you are temporarily redirected to accounts.google.com. Google sets its own cookies there. This step happens on Google's domain, not ours.

How to refuse essential cookies?

You can block all cookies in your browser settings, but authentication will then not work and you will not be able to access your account. If you don't want cookies, you can use only the public pages (landing, features, pricing, FAQ) without creating an account.

Changes

Any update to this policy will be reflected here and notified by email to logged-in users in case of substantial change.
